Nuweiba

Nuweiba (hot springs) is a traditional small town on the east coast of the Sinai Peninsula between Taba and Dahab. The city extends about 4 miles along the Gulf of Aqaba, with the backdrop of the Sinai Mountains. The beaches are considered some of the most beautiful and safest in the Sinai. The city itself is bustling with restaurants, cafes, shops and bazaars spices. As this is a new station, there is no historical sites, but the city has an interesting Israeli and Egyptian architecture.As Nuweiba resort is fairly new, there are only a few hotels here, but there are many beach camps are popular with backpackers and those traveling on a tight budget.For diving enthusiasts, who want to learn to dive (the waters are very calm here), divers and underwater photographers, Nuweiba is the place. The coastline here reefs of hard and soft corals, with canyons, ravines, and falling wreckage. All forms of marine life can be seen here, including turtles, moray eels, seahorses, barracudas, snappers and Razorfish. For those who prefer the option of drying, this wide range of marine life can be viewed from a glass bottom boat.

Tours of the city include trips to Mount Sinai and the Monastery of St Katherines, trips to Coloured Canyon and White Canyon, jeep and camel and not to be missed is a nocturnal excursion in the desert where you can enjoy dinner Bedouin tradition. A camel ride will take you into the wilderness, where you can see the beautiful water of Ain Ain and point um Ahmed Hudra. It is also possible to take a ferry from the port of Nuweiba to spend time in Jordan and Petra.
The climate is hot and dry with very little rainfall. In average summer temperatures between 32C and 38C with about 10 hours of sunlight per day.
